Worship Services

Worship – We worship at 10:00 a.m. each Sunday morning in our sanctuary (310 Bluff Ave.). Worship is led by Jim and/or Julia Hollister, our ministers, often with the involvement of lay members who read scripture, opening prayers, etc. There is child care provided in the nursery (room 7) at that time. Children attend the first portion of the service with their families and then leave for their classes, usually after a “Time for Children.” Classes conclude at 11:15 AM.

Taizé-style worship is held on the 4th Sunday of the month (September thru May). Services are at 7pm in the sanctuary (or sometimes in the Chapel). These have been a blessing to the community and we would love to partner with other congregations who would help with planning and music. Speak to Pastor Jim or Martin Ulrich (Music Dir.) if you would like to get involved or learn more (or see the website of the Taize community in France for more info – www.taize.fr)!

Our “Coffee Hour” fellow time is held following the morning worship service, either in our lounge or Lucas Hall. We welcome members and friends to sign up to be “hosts” for this.

We share the Sacrament of Communion during worship on the first Sunday of each month. This meal is open to all Christians — men and women, youth and children — who wish to know the presence of Christ and to share in the community of God’s people.
