The fall 2009 program for Adult Education and Spiritual Growth has recently been announced:


Thursday Women’s Study Group Meets every Thursday morning from 9:00 – 10:15 am in the church lounge.  This fall, the group is studying various “bad” women of the Bible using a study guide written by Rev. Barbara Essex.  Pastor Julia, leader.

The Wed. Morning Study Group meets Wednesdays from 6:45-7:45am. All are welcome.  We are discussing The First Paul by Marcus Borg & J. Dom Crossan.  Shared leadership.

Book Study – Discovering the Narrow Path by N. Graham Standish – starting Thursday, October 1st, for 8 consecutive Thursdays, at 6:30 p.m.  Convenor: Char Pachniak. (char@pachniak.com)

Men’s Study Group – Meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month from 7-8:30 pm in the church lounge for fellowship and study. Topics or books may vary.  Leaders: Greg Ryan (930-9242) or Pastor Jim.

Choices for Sustainable Living Meets once a month on the third Monday of the month from 6:30 – 8:00 pm in classroom #2.  This 8 session course explores the meaning of sustainable living and the ties between lifestyle choices and their impact on the earth.  Cost for curriculum is $10. Peace Prayer Circle (group silent meditation) Held the 2nd Sunday of each month)  from 6:30-7:30pm in the lounge.  This is for all who would like to learn more about Christian meditation and pray for peace in the world, our community, our homes, and our hearts

Labyrinth Walks - Held on the first Friday evening (5-7 pm) and Sat. morning (9-11 am) of the month. Come enjoy a time of reflection and renewal.  These walks are open to the wider community.

“Healing” Group On Fridays, Pastor Julia offers a 45 minute healing group from 11:45-12:30 pm (over the lunch hour).  It is  an opportunity to gather for support and ending with guided meditation. Join us if you are in need of healing of mind, body or spirit.  No need to sign-up – just drop by….

Taizé Service Held on the fourth Sunday of the month in the sanctuary at 7:00 pm.  Join in this prayer service that incorporates the music from the Taizé community in France.  A service of prayer, candlelight and healing.
