Events at FCC

Sunday Worship
August 16th @ 9:30 am. In Sanctuary. Live Streamed.
🐫 Pastor Dave will reflect upon the odd biblical record that celebrates the preservation of the royal family (in this case Jacob’s), which, paradoxically, leads to the nation’s enslavement in Egypt. It feels fair to ask, “Are God’s plans foolproof?”
🎶 Special Music: Performed by Jayleigh Hoskins and also by Rick Ertel, Tammy Butzen, Chad and Thea Friese

Summer Kids Program
Children will read the story What Color is God’s Love by Xochitl Dixon and explore the different attributes and expressions of love through its many shades which encourage us to explore the spectacular colors in God’s wonderful world.

Sacred Stitches Ministry

All are invited to gather for fellowship from 10:30-11:30 am in the church lounge. The group continues to make shawls, prayer squares, baby hats and other projects as needed. We are accepting donations of dish soap for the Sheboygan County Food Pantry. Feel free to leave bottles of soap in the box outside of Lucas Hall or give them directly to one of the members. Feel free to take one of the shawls in the rack in the narthex and pass it along to someone who is in need of comfort. Small prayer-squares are also available. Mary Klein, leader.

The Community Café

A daily meal held at St. Luke's Methodist Church. We are in need of 4 people to help with the food prep, setting up, serving lunch, hospitality, and clean up-shift which runs from 10:30 am-2pm. Sign-up here.

Tonight! Young Adult Book Study
Thursday, August 13th, 6:30pm
in the church lounge
This new group for younger adults in their 20s and 30s, will meet the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month. We’ll read a short chapter (4-6 pages) which includes questions about how we navigate changes in our 20s and 30s and in the larger world around us. The group is open to anyone and everyone looking for a community of young adults at the church! We are reading "We Make the Road by Walking" by Brian D. McLaren. If you are interested in joining, please plan on purchasing this book or borrowing it from the library ahead of our first meeting! Contact: Kira Schutzkus 262-416-8725.

Tastefully Childish
Friday, September 11th, 6:00-10:00 pm
A Fundraiser to Support Above & Beyond Children's Museum (ABCM) Play is for everyone, even adults! Join us in celebrating 10 years of Tastefully Childish with an evening of discovery, delight, and a little bit of cake. Explore the museum, indulge in hand-selected bites and sips from beloved local chefs, and dance the night away to live music by The Cold Soda Club. Bid on one-of-a-kind auction packages, reconnect with your inner child, and help us raise a glass (and the next decade) for the kids of Sheboygan. Proceeds from the event support our mission: to foster exploration, imagination, and joy through immersive play. Ticket entry includes food, beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages.
